The Clean Streets program mobilizes JHBG volunteers to make Jackson Heights cleaner. Through organized cleanups and ongoing awareness efforts, this program tackles one of the most visible quality-of-life issues in our neighborhood, making streets, sidewalks, and public spaces cleaner and more inviting for everyone.
Neighborhood Cleanups
JHBG organizes regular street cleanup events where volunteers fan out across Jackson Heights armed with bags, grabbers, brooms, and gloves. These cleanup sessions target commercial corridors, residential side streets, tree pits, and public gathering spots where litter tends to accumulate. Volunteers collect trash, sweep gutters, and remove debris that detracts from the character of the neighborhood.
JHBG coordinates with each of our municipal and state elected officials to co-sponsor such efforts.
