Each year, JHBG organizes the Annual Holiday Post Office Lighting at the Jackson Heights Post Office, a cherished neighborhood tradition that brings the community together to celebrate the season. The event marks the start of the holiday season in Jackson Heights with the lighting of a festive tree and seasonal decorations.

JHBG board members and volunteers plan and prepare decorations and craft activities for the event. The holiday crafts station is a favorite among younger attendees and families.
