Jackson Heights Children’s Halloween Parade, October 31, 2014

                                                                                                                  Largest Children’s Halloween Parade in NYC     
The largest children’s parade held on Halloween in New York City is organized by the Jackson Heights Beautification Group. The 24th Annual Children’s Halloween Parade kicks off on Friday, October 31st at 5 pm on 89th Street along 37th Avenue . Participants line up at 4:30 pm. Over 3,000 bags of Halloween goodies are distributed at the end of the parade. Poster by Artist John Cebollero

Frank Buonagurio (Frank’s Pharmacy), Jerry Crisci (Armondo’s Italian Restaurant) and Anna Dioguardi (Queens Community House). Marching behind the Jackson Heights Beautification Group banner displayed by the O’Doherty children and friends, were State Senator Peralta, Assemblyman Moya, Councilman Dromm, Councilwoman Ferriera, the Honorable Judge Greco and Len Maniace (aka the Tin Man) JHBG president.

The great marching band from IS 230 with the ‘Flying Puppets’ provided our musical entertainment. Unfortunately the powerful sound of the Joseph Pulitzer IS 145 band was not able to march. They will be back next year.  (by Rodrigo Salazar)

The Dime Savings Bank provided the treat bags. Foodtown provides 3,200 fruit drinks; Burger King on 82nd street provided coupons and the Coca Cola Bottling Company provided 16 cases of beverages for our volunteers.
