JHSCRAPS is having a “Bin Build” on May 18th at the site on 69th street & 35th Avenue where we will be building a 3 bin system of compost collection which will greatly increase our capacity for collection (sponsored by NYC Dept. Sanitation).

JHSCRAPS also wants to share a short video produced by Celeste Balducci about our Earth Day event last month.
JHSCRAPS are also looking into tracking the Cicadas which are these insects that come every 17 years and should arrive by the end of May. You can tell more by taking the temperature of the soil 8″ down and we are planning to track this very soon.
