JHBG is an all-volunteer, grassroots not-for-profit organization, and every membership contribution goes directly toward maintaining our 19 garden spots, funding community events like the annual Halloween Parade and Summer Sundays in the Park, supporting the Jackson Heights Orchestra, and publishing our newsletter “Views from the Heights.”
JHBG relies entirely on membership dues, donations, and the energy of our volunteers. We have no paid staff – every dollar contributed goes toward plants, soil, tools, compost, event supplies, and the materials needed to keep our neighborhood green and thriving.
