The annual JHBG Children’s Halloween Parade once again brought joy, creativity, and community spirit to the streets of Jackson Heights. Hundreds of costumed children and their families paraded through the neighborhood on HALLOWEEN OCTOBER 31, continuing a tradition that has become one of the most beloved events on the Jackson Heights calendar.
The JHBG Children’s Halloween Parade is a true community production. Volunteers spend weeks coordinating the route, stuffing 3,000 trick-or-treat goodie bags and making sure everything runs smoothly and safely. The parade draws participants from across Jackson Heights and neighboring communities, reflecting the wonderful diversity that makes our neighborhood unique. It is the largest children’s parade around the city.

None of this would be possible without the dedicated JHBG volunteers who give their time to make the parade happen every year from our parade committee, cooperation from PS 69 in making the school cafeteria available to our Newtown Key Club members and hospitality crew, and finally, to the 115th Precinct which makes our parade route car-free by setting up barricades providing a safe environment. Our volunteers are the backbone of this event. Consider volunteering for the Children’s Halloween Parade. Contact us at info@jhbg.org to get involved.
