Jackson Heights People for Public schools is having an open meeting for anyone interested in learning more about our local public schools.  Our goal is to build support for our local public schools so they can grow and improve.  We will be discussing overcrowding, class size, increasing time for art, gym and recess.  We want more dual language seats and less testing.  Come meet other involved parents.

Town Hall Meetings

JHBG sponsors a spring and a fall Town Hall Meetings. These events give residents an opportunity to meet and ask questions of candidates for office, government representatives, and others, with the aim of addressing key neighborhood concerns.

The spring Town Hall usually consists of representatives from city agencies introducing themselves and responding to audience questions and concerns. Usually the fall Town Hall is candidates’ night, with candidates for local office debating the issues and responding to questions and comments from the audience.
